2021

Community gathering in the first Kaş coworking space

A coworking space opens in Kaş

A café in the old town becomes a coworking space, and the space becomes a magnet. Remote workers and Web3 professionals from Russia, Ukraine and beyond choose Kaş as home, and a community forms around shared tables and shared questions.

2022

Web3 Hub Kaş: the first of its kind

The community gets a permanent roof: a yellow-walled space with a Lycian justice mural, carpets on the floor and Ethereum on the whiteboard. It becomes the world's first permanent Web3 community space, and the model that everything since is built on.

Kaş goes on the world stage

The hub co-hosts Web3 META HUB Istanbul with ChainIDE and Alibaba Cloud, brings a $10K hackathon to Devconnect week, and speaks on main stages from ETH Riyadh to GITEX Dubai. A village community starts shaping regional conversations.

2024

İstanbul: the 4Seas META Hub

The Kaş model scales to a metropolis. Builders House opens in İstanbul with Animoca Brands and TakaDAO at the launch event, hosting developers, investors and university blockchain clubs from across the META region.

2025

The ancient theater of Antiphellos at golden hour above the marina

ZuKaş: a pop-up city is born

The community launches ZuKaş, a Zuzalu-network pop-up city on the Lycian coast, with Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin among its first speakers. Ancient theater steps become the venue for conversations about the next civilization stack.

2026

AI workshop at the hub, how ChatGPT works for your business

AI meets the Mediterranean

With Kaş Municipality, the hub brings AI literacy to local hotels, restaurants and public services, while ZuKaş prepares its September 2026 edition under the banner Ancient Roots, Future Protocols.

IEEE Global Blockchain Conference · Shanghai · June 2025

Our most important talk. At IEEE's first global blockchain conference in China, co-hosted with Tongji University, Web3 Hub Kaş represented Türkiye on the panel "Connecting the Middle East and China" alongside the IEEE 2025 and 2024 presidents, Google, Cornell and ETH Zürich. The message: Türkiye as the bridge between Europe, the Middle East and China, with joint university research, startup corridors and shared standards for digital identity. We were in the room when the IEEE Blockchain China office opened.

NS Conference 2025

Vitalik Buterin gave ZuKaş a shout-out on the Network School stage, putting the Lycian coast on the pop-up city map.

BTC Haber

The clustering model built in Kaş was covered as a blueprint Türkiye could scale into a national strategy for attracting global tech talent.

Alibaba Cloud

The region is now mapped as META: Middle East, Türkiye and Africa. A naming that carries this community's fingerprint.

Devconnect İstanbul

A $10K Preda hackathon co-hosted with ChainIDE brought global builders together during Devconnect week.

Zero Interest 3.0

The İstanbul hub launched with Animoca Brands and TakaDAO in the room, bridging MENA finance and Web3 gaming.

The first edition of the pop-up city drew Vitalik Buterin among its speakers, on steps carved two millennia ago.

Web3 Hub Kaş and Club Hotel Barbarossa are opening a residential campus. Every 15 days a new cohort moves in: builders, researchers and nomads who live, work and host events together on the bay, facing the Greek island of Meis.

The model is a vertical village laid out on a hillside. Like Frontier Tower in San Francisco gives each floor a theme, each of the seven villas at Barbarossa is a house with its own theme, leads and program. The first cohort opens on 1 November 2026.

Barbarossa has hosted residential programs before. This week-long detox journey with Prof. Şevki Serkan Erdoğan at the Alaçatı property is the format the Kaş Campus grows from.
